Michel was born in 1971 and obtained in 1993 a Master degree in Polymer Sicences from the University of Bordeaux (France). He received his Ph.D. in 1996 from the same University with a work on “Anionic copolymerization of cyclodisilazane: towards new inorganic polymers”. Then, he spent 12 months as a postdoctoral research associate in a startup (Polymer Expert) scaling up the (co)polymers synthesis developed in academic laboratories in order to sale these materials to the scientific community. Since 1997, he is associate professor at the University of Strasbourg (France) teaching macromolecular synthesis at the European Engineering School of Chemistry, Polymer and Material Sciences (ECPM). His researches are focused on the development of new polymeric materials by combining synthesis, formulation and original polymer processing systems. Based on his researches, he created a startup (Acrylian) at the end of 2006 to develop a new process of fillers encapsulation from heterogeneous radical copolymerization of acrylic monomers. | |
