Research topics

  • Ammonia synthesis by electrochemical reduction of dinitrogen, including (i) modifying the electrocatalyst // electrolyte design and reactant nature to tune the N2 reduction selectivity; (ii) designing next-generation electrocatalysts for the N2 reduction (Ni-based structures, bifunctional electrocatalysts).
  • The assessment of the electrocatalyst // electrolyte interface properties by the coupling (i) microscopy or physico-chemical methods and (ii) electrochemistry.

Past experience

  • October 2020 – September 2021: Postdoctoral scholar at the university of Montpellier, in Frédéric Jaouen’s group on the CO2 reduction reaction in ‘zero-gap’ electrolyzers and the design of noble metal-free and ultra-low noble metal containing electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction and the hydrogen oxidation reaction.
  • January 2018 – September 2020: Postdoctoral scholar and lab manager at the university of New Mexico and the university of California Irvine, in Plamen Atanassov’s group on the CO2 reduction reaction on metal-free electrocatalysts, the oxygen reduction reaction on Pt-based electrocatalysts and the nitrogen reduction reaction.
  • October 2017 – December 2017: Research engineer in the laboratory of electrochemistry and physicochemistry of materials and interfaces (LEPMI), in Marian Chatenet’s group, on the functionalization of carbonaceous materials for PEMFCs applications.
  • October 2014 – September 2017: PhD student at university of Grenoble and university of Liège, under the supervision of Laëtitia Dubau, Nathalie Job and Frédéric Maillard, on the design and characterization of advanced Pt-based electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction.
