    RESEARCH FIELDS:

His research focuses on the development and optimization of photocatalytic processes and materials, particularly nanomaterials, for environmental applications such as water and air treatment to eliminate emerging contaminants like volatile organic compounds, pesticides, and nanometric plastics. He is interested in both the fundamental aspects and practical applications of photocatalysis. For example, he studies the use of conventional semiconductors such as titanium dioxide (TiO₂) and novel nanostructured materials (La-CeO₂/ZnO, Bi₂O₃/TiO₂, CdS, C₃N₄/TiO₂, WO₃, etc.) to improve process efficiency under various illumination conditions (UV, visible light, solar light).
