Research objective

My PhD project, supervised by Dr. Antoine Duval (SOPREMA) and Pr. Luc Avérous (ICPEES) aims at producing lignin-based non-isocyanate polyurethanes (L-NIPUs) through green chemistry procedures. The projects tackles two of the main challenges with polyurethanes : turning towards renewable feedstocks and removing the toxic isocyanates from the synthesis. I work both on the synthesis of suitable building blocks from lignins and on the production and characterization of lignin-based polymers.
