  • Photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS, UPS, XAES)
  • Ion Scattering Spectroscopy (ISS)
  • Near ambient pressure photoemlectron spectroscopy & Near Edge X-ray Absorption Fine Structure (NAP XPS, NEXAFS)
  • Participation in experiments, analysis and presentation of results and writing of publications
  • Participation in the supervision of Masters/Doctorate students.

  • the study of organic materials (oligomers, self-assembled monolayers, graphene)
  • the study of solid oxide fuel cells
  • the characterisation of realistic model catalysts
