The Institute of Chemistry and Processes for Energy, Environment, and Health (ICPEES) welcomes new members to its organization.

Once you arrive at the institute: New incomers Orientation

Before arriving, all new students are informed by email of the need to follow the “ICPEES new student orientation program.” The email specifies the date, location, and information to be provided to the program facilitators. This program is mandatory and takes place twice a month over half a day, as outlined below:

First, Catherine KIENTZ gives each new student:  

  • the ICPEES welcome booklet
  • a labo notebook
  • an access badge
  • a welcome gift

During this stage, the institute's Equality Officers:

  • raise awareness of the culture of equality at ICPEES
  • provide information on reporting procedures

The institute's Information Systems correspondents:                                                                                                                                                                                                

  • create a user account for each new students
  • add them to the various mailing lists
  • inform them of the resources available to them
  • raise awareness of IT risks and best practices
  • introduce the local IT center

This part of the induction process for new employees, carried out by Prevention Assistants, is a key step. New employees are only allowed to handle equipment after completing this safety training, during which:

  • a reminder of the Health and Safety rules is given
  • a lab coat and safety glasses are provided
  • a tour of the premises is conducted, with the locations of emergency equipment being pointed 

In this last section, the Human Resources Manager will present:

  • the institute
  • the various HR tools available to you depending on your status and in connection with HR (Ariane, Agate-Tempo, Ernest, etc.)
  • the Young Researchers Office (BJC)
