Radioprotection

The ICPEES radiation protection advisor (CRP) carries out his/her duties in conjunction with the doctor(s), the prevention advisors at the CNRS Délégation Alsace and partner establishments, the unit's prevention assistants and the structure's CLHSCT where applicable.

The tasks of the ICPEES radiation protection advisor are :

• Examination, from the point of view of radiation protection, of  plans for installations, concerning the design, modification or fitting out of workplaces and safety devices intended to prevent risks associated with ionising radiation,
• Programmes for checking work equipment and workplaces, and procedures for monitoring workers' individual exposure,
• The appropriate instrumentation required to carry out periodic checks and operational dosimetry, where applicable,
• Worker classification procedures,
• Boundaries and conditions of access to regulated areas,
• Preparation for and response to radiological emergencies.
