Tasks of the valorisation correspondent
Appointed by the director of the research unit, the valorisation correspondent is a researcher or research engineer who is familiar with the work of the unit's various teams and can establish a relationship of trust with each of his/her colleagues, as his/her activity will be subject to the principle of confidentiality.
Tasks
The valorisation correspondent (CVL) is the interface between the laboratory and internal and external players in terms of the economic valorisation of research results. He/she reports to the Unit Director and to the CNRS Chimie Deputy Scientific Director in charge of Industrial and International Partnerships.
He/She relays information about CNRS policy on the protection of intellectual property and the exploitation of research results.
He/She also makes the unit's researchers aware of the rules to be applied in the field of intellectual property protection and the strategic importance of consultancy, as well as industrial contracts and patents, in promoting the results of their research.
He/She informs the Institute and the Partnership and Valorisation Department (SPV) of the delegation of collaborative projects and/or the emergence of results that could be protected by intellectual property within the unit, as soon as he/she is aware of them.
