Molecular Chemistry and Analytics department

The research activities carried out within the Molecular and Analytical Chemistry Department focus on research in the field of luminescent compounds with innovations in the synthesis and molecular engineering of this family of molecules for applications ranging from biological/medical marking to optoelectronics and security marking. The work also aims to develop "innovative analytical methods" dedicated to the quantification of trace organic molecules in the environment, which involves (i) the search for new materials for sampling, (ii) the development of versatile or specific analytical methods for a pollutant or a family of pollutants, (iii) instrumental development, in particular via microfluidic devices. Fluorescence spectroscopy is a transversal theme. The department is composed of two teams that are very active in their field:
